Aims

• to influence policy so that the planning and delivery of services for Cumbria and the North West considers the needs of disabled people in Cumbria and rural areas.
• to facilitate effective communication between disabled people, groups and policy influencers/makers by the development of networks.
• to facilitate the provision of advice, support and training for disabled people. .
• to promote the active participation of disabled people and groups in the development of policy at district, county and regional level.
• To advise and support disability groups wherever possible in order to develop a sustainable network with increased capacity.
